Considering MIRTH Connect Integration Engine? Follow these 3 steps….​

Mirth Connect is an open-source integration engine used for healthcare data integration, and it can be installed on various operating systems. 

 

The system requirements for installing Mirth Connect can vary depending on the operating system and the intended usage of the software. Here are some general guidelines for the system requirements for installing Mirth 

 

  1. Specifications- Suggestion by Santeware:

  1. Operating System: Mirth Connect can be installed on Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems.

  2. Processor: The processor requirements depend on the size and complexity of the data being processed. However, a dual-core processor is recommended for optimal performance.

  3. Memory: Mirth Connect requires a minimum of 2 GB of RAM, although more is recommended for larger deployments.

  4. Disk Space: Mirth Connect requires at least 2 GB of free disk space for installation, but additional disk space may be required depending on the size and volume of data being processed.

  5. Java: Mirth Connect requires a compatible version of Java, such as OpenJDK or Oracle JDK, to be installed.

  6. Web Browser: A web browser is required to access the Mirth Connect administration console.

  7. Network Connectivity: Mirth Connect requires network connectivity to communicate with other systems and to access external resources.

The default database that comes with MIRTH install is “Derby DB”, however for Production usage of MIRTH it can support MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL and other relational databases easily.

  1. The typical viewer we suggest to inspect & validate message is “HL7 Inspectator

  2. To Test and evaluate WebServices Connections and RestAPI Connections we suggest to use “Soup UI

  3. Text compare tool that is useful when reviewing files or comparing code between channels built by developers – “Beyond Compare
